Caipiroska

Ingredient

  • 1⁄2 fresh Lime
  • 1⁄2 fresh Lime
  • 3 barspoon Powdered sugar
  • 3 barspoon Powdered sugar
  • 2 oz Tito's Vodka

Glass:

Serve in a Rocks glass

How to make:

1. Cut a ripe lime in half (from pole to pole) and remove the core from each half by cutting a v-shaped grove. You'll need one-half of one large lime (or a whole small one) per drink and this should be chopped into wedges and each wedge chopped in half before dropping the resulting 6 or 8 lime chunks into a rocks glass. 2. Add 3 bar spoons powdered sugar and muddle. Not much. 3. When the limes's juice is extracted and the sugar dissolved, fill the glass with ice cubes. 4. Pour your favorite vodka into the glass. Stir to mix the ingredients. 5. Serve with a short straw.

Review:

Purists freak out with the caipiroska, but the truth is that in bars all over Brazil this drink is as or more popular than the famous caipirinha. The lemon is often replaced by a huge variety of other fruits, such as kiwi, strawberry and cajá.
Vodka is more neutral than cachaça and for this reason it is often preferred.
